One of the many amazing things about travelling in Italy is that even when visiting the lesser known cities and towns you can still come across some outstanding art work. This was certainly the case in our recent visit to Italy and the city of Citta di Castello. Housed in a former Renaissance palace with the facade by Vasari the Pinaoleca Comunale has an excellent collection of Renaissance art. I was particularly impressed by the works of Raffaellino del Colle which you can see below. Apologies for the quality of the pictures they were hung right next to the window.
